I am a pre-licensed psychologist, in the last stages of completing my PhD. I provide psychotherapy to adolescents, adults and couples. I bring 6 years of clinical experience to my practice, and I have received doctoral level training in sex therapy, couple therapy, and working with LGBTQ populations. I have trained in several different therapeutic modalities, and my work is particularly influenced by trauma-informed, psychodynamic, attachment based, cognitive behavioural, and dialectic behavioural approaches. I regularly participate in training, and receive supervision in order to offer effective service to clients.
I work with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, sexual difficulties, trauma, grief, and sexual orientation and gender identity related concerns. My aim is to provide clients with a safer space in which to explore concerns, and to work together towards maximizing overall psychological wellbeing. I aid clients in identifying and understanding troublesome thoughts and patterns of behaviours, and work collaboratively towards finding better ways for clients to relate to themselves as well as to others. If deemed relevant by clients, we situate this work within the broader context of systems of privilege and oppression.
In addition to private practice, I am currently conducting research on, and writing about gender diverse families, experiences of gender-based violence, and ethical and effective psychological service provision for marginalized populations. Additionally, I am often invited to guest lecture to graduate students and mental health professionals on topics related to sexuality and gender in clinical practice, and am a course lecturer at McGill University.
I currently have a waiting list for potential new clients, and offer a sliding scale ranging from $80 – $110. I can offer receipts for insurance. My office is located in Westmount, close to Atwater metro. If you have any questions, or would like to connect with me, I can be reached at: email@example.com
