Working with Me
I am a Psychotherapist as well as a Marriage and Family Therapist, in private practice working in the Montreal area. I provide therapeutic interventions for individuals and couples long- or short-term goals. As well, to this experience I bring a unique insight in terms of the ability to listen and empathize, and provide you with the tools to develop and grow in a protected and supportive environment. In particular, I am an LGBTQ ally affirmative therapist. Through this process then I can help you learn to improve your relationships, reduce stress, avoid depression, and establish and achieve goals that are right for you.
My Experience and Therapeutic Approach
I have worked with individuals who suffer from various addictions, including gambling,
alcohol, and sex addiction; victims of sexual abuse; individuals who have been overwhelmed by depression and anxiety; others whose inability to make important life choices have prevented them from moving ahead; and still others with difficulties in establishing meaningful relationships. I have helped clients to deal effectively with child-parent conflict; couples who have lost their intimacy, trust, and love; divorce issues; self-esteem issues, trauma, interpersonal problems, gender issues, problems related to the workplace; general challenges of self-doubt, inadequacy, longing, frustration, stress, anger, aging, grief and loss; and other personal challenges. I do this within a framework of utilizing an integrative psychotherapeutic approach including the following therapeutic models: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Therapy, Emotionally-Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
The integrative psychotherapeutic approach we will use together can help you in the process of change that will bring you to a higher level of self-awareness, and to a better sense of well-being. More importantly, this approach will help to alter old patterns and develop new ways of dealing with the challenges of life. I provide a personalized program for each client, one that is best suited to your particular need. I invite you to contact me for a personal meeting during which we can discuss your goals and determine how best to achieve them.
